Jory Nash
We're thrilled to have the notoriously classy Jory Nash back to Eaglewood this year. He was just a young buck when he first played the festival back in the nineties. Now he's a leader in the community and great supporter of so so much.

- Jory Nash is a Toronto-based, independent singer-songwriter. His music blends elements of folk, jazz, pop, country, soul & blues. There is little or no influence of salsa, didgeridoo or dub reggae in Jory's music.
- Jory Nash has recorded 5 solo CDs. He has sold about 10,000 units, all independently, mostly from the stage.
- Jory Nash plays acoustic guitar, both finger-style and flat pick strum. He also plays piano and 5-string banjo. Feel free to ask him about his home-made banjo sometime.
- Jory Nash has a commanding stage presence; his strong, warm voice urges people to listen.
- Jory Nash has crisscrossed North America several times, playing folk festivals, folk clubs, concert series and house concerts. He has built a large, loyal fan-base and he has been fortunate enough to see most of North America in the process. - Jory Nash is a past recipient of the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals' Songs From The Heart songwriting award. His songs have been included on numerous compilations CDs and he has even had his songs covered by artists such as Lori Cullen.
- Jory's music is distributed by Maplemusic.com, where you can buy actual CDs or MP3 versions of said CDs. You can even purchase individual songs if you choose, though Jory recommends you buy his entire catalogue. Twice.
- Jory has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biogeography from the University of Toronto. Biogeography and music have little to do with each other, though Jory watches the Weather Network a lot while he is on the road.
- Jory's music has been played on over 200 music programs/stations around the world, including BBC, NPR, CBC and XM Satellite. Once, the CBC program Fresh Air did an Ontario-wide search for Spaz & Weezie, the real-life title characters from Jory's 4th CD. And wouldn't you know it? They found 'em! Gotta love the CBC.
- Jory Nash is the thin man in Thin Man Records. Ironically, Thin Man Records only produces CDs. And for the record (haha, that's a pun!) Jory is one skinny dude.
- Jory has a hat collection that numbers about 200. Jory Nash obviously likes a good hat. Feel free to give him the gift of a hat; he would like to have 300 hats by the time he next updates this bio.
- Jory Nash produces a yearly tribute concert to Canada's legendary songwriter Gordon Lightfoot. The show is called "The Way We Feel" and was co-founded by fellow songwriter Aengus Finnan.

- There is no #17, in honour of the great Wendel Clark.
- Jory Nash's middle name is Kevin.
- Jory Nash has helped run an overnight children's summer camp in the central Ontario woods for over 10 years. Jory honed his performance chops singing campfire songs for young kids, a very demanding audience indeed.
