Toronto Fundraiser - The Multi-Generational Folk Extravaganza was a wonderful show that we put on at Hugh's Room on April 6, 2008. New pictures have been uploaded from the event. Check out the fun we had at the show. If you missed the show, you can still help our fundraising efforts if you make a donation.

Canadian
Society for traditional Music
Until October 22, 1989 the Canadian Society for Traditional
Music was known as the "Canadian Folk Music Society"
(CFMS), or in French, "La Societe Canadienne de Musique
Folklorique". The CFMS was founded in 1956 as a branch
of the International Folk Music Council and has operated
a Folk Music Mail Order Service since that time. In addition
to operating the Mail Order Service, the Society publishes
the Canadian Folk Music Bulletin (quarterly) and the Canadian
Folk Music Journal (annually). All members of the Society
automatically receive both of these publications at no extra
charge

Alley.Com
Folk Alley is produced by WKSU-FM in Kent, OH.
Streaming music programming is created and hosted
by Jim Blum, who includes his own special mix
of the best of singer/songwriter, Celtic, acoustic,
traditional, and world sounds. If you want your
folk music delivered 24/7 then this is the place
to go. I know it's not Canadian but they play
tons of Canadian artists.
MapleMusic.Com
Although they are not limited to representing
only folk oriented artists, MapleMusic is dedicated
to presenting only Canadian Artists. In their
own words "MapleMusic is a website that offers
a virtual home where Canadian musicians, and fans
of Canadian music converge. We wanted to create
a site where Canadian musicians hold centre stage
for music lovers around the world. We add new
bands every couple of weeks; some will be ones
that you know very well, and others will be bands
that you may not have heard of, but that you will
want to get to know. Canadian music is something
that we are proud of, and MapleMusic.com wants
to be the web site that brings it to the online
community. We are 100% Canadian owned and operated
and offer 100% Canadian made merchandise. "
